Political Parties
Political
parties allow individual citizens to work with other citizens with
similar ideas to influence the policies and conduct of government.
Parties
choose candidates to run for office in the general election. They
work for the nomination and election of their candidates. They form
the party platform or position on issues, carry out party policies
and educate citizens in civic and political matters.
If
you declare a party preference at a primary election in Ohio, you
will be considered a member of that political party.
